Long before boys can get their own car or even a fake driving license, they would have played their hearts out with their favourite model toy cars. For most boys, that would turn out to be one of the Hot Wheels. Named aptly, Hot Wheels includes some of the best cars designed by man and now you could not just own one but truly drive away in one.

The Dodge Deora was designed by Mike and Larry Alexander back in the 60s for Detroit Autorama and would go under the hammer during RM’s Icons of Speed and Style auction. The Dodge Deora had been made into a Hot Wheel car in 1968 after it won the Ridler Award the previous year at the Detroit Autorama. The truck design of the Dodge Deora makes it quite attractive and what makes it even more appealing is the fact that you can enter it only through the side windows.

The Icons of Speed and Style auction would be held at the Petersen Automotive Museum this Sunday and the Dodge Deora is expected to be sold for between $350,000 and $550,000. Whoever gets it would be lucky because this is one of only 16.
