The automobile industry has seen such a great boost in recent years and this is mostly because of the awesome accessories that are being incorporated into the latest models. Sat-nav technology has great news for those intending to buy cool cars in the next few years.

Sat-nav technology is in the process of producing hi-tech 3D screens for automobiles. The special LCD screens will not require for the driver to use coloured specs usually necessary in such cases. Using a special technique, the LCD screens work by interposing two near identical images in quick succession so as to produce the illusion of depth. These lifelike images would then be used along with real images of the street so as to make it easier for the driver to navigate the streets.

Sat-nav firms TomTom, Navman and Garmin are in the process of researching the technology that could be up for use as early as next year. Although LCD displays are already available in a number of models, nothing of the calibre is in use yet.
