The much anticipated Pixel Qi – The three- in-one screen laptop will soon hit by the coming month. Mary Lou Jepsen, the co-founder of “One Laptop Per Child” is confident enough that this time the 10- inch 3Qi will finally enter the market successfully. Looks like a lot of kids are going to smile this summer (I only hope they do).
3Qi comes with great features, which include a lower power black and white mode, e-paper mode and high-resolution color LED mode into one glorious, sunlight readable screen. In the meantime, according to Mary Lou, their company is working on screens that act like a chip on the motherboard, power saving, (which also increases battery life) and, improve visuals.
It’s not yet very clear as to what this will entail, it sounds interesting nonetheless. Mary Lou is also of the opinion that no screens should be TVs. While I like the idea of the three displays, I am also concerned about the amount of confusion that will create by the displays. Only time will speak the quality about the product though.
