Move over real DJs. It’s the era of iPod DJs at nightclubs. Heralding a new trend, it is not DJs battling out to play the best music on their nightclub PA systems, but iPod DJs.
And adding zing to the iPod DJ trend is the 4 Leaf iPod platform. It resembles a table spreading out four leaves, but is a cool gadget allowing four iPod DJs to play their own music using the single apparatus.
How does it work? Transfer your song collection to the 4 Leaf pod through its bundled application. Drag each song to play position in its set up library. Alongside the songs played, a graphical display helps the DJ track song length to seamlessly overlap them.
Each leaf or pod is hooked to the base table with all sound moving through a single main plug fixed below the pods. From here, music gets transmitted to the PA system via Bluetooth. Each pod can be used separately for the music, or streamed together for a singular beat effect.
Its internal software and touch screen controller help flow mixing seamlessly. No weird beats switching. 4 Leaf makes sure all songs are played on the same beat. The gadget is designed by Matthew Blythman.
