One of the most iconic legends of the game of tennis, Maria Sharapova, recently took time out to promote a prototype dress that shines or lights up, every time the wearer’s mobile phone rings. The former Wimbledon Champion unveiled this unique dress at a press conference in London, England.

This one of a kind high-tech dress is the brainchild of a fashion student, Georgie Davies. Inspite of the fact that the dress is pretty much a part of the wearer and is considered a giant leap in the 21st century technology, still, it fulfills almost every parameter of today’s fashion. This dress is up to knee length combined with short sleeves and is a design that was conceived as part of a school project sponsored by Sony Ericsson. One of the most known manufacturers of innovative mobile smart phones, Sony Ericsson wished to create new and innovative ways of combining fashion with technology.
According to the creator of this highly innovative dress, Georgie Davies;
“This dress is designed to eventually be connected to the wearer’s phone by Bluetooth wireless tech
nology, so she can be alerted to a call even in noisiest of places. When you’re in a pub or a bar, you can never, ever hear your phone,” 20-year-old Davies told Reuters on Wednesday.”
With every incoming call, the wearer of this incredible dress will be alerted of the call by the translucent white scales that are designed to move ‘up’ and ‘down’ alerting her of an incoming call. This feature is embedded in the area of the dress that occupies the space between the shoulder, down to the hip.
Maria Sharapova, while visiting London, England, took the opportunity to publicize this dress in front of the paparazzi and the local crowd.
