A Luxurious Bookshelf for the Uber Elite
If you were in retro science fiction movies and always admired the weird looking gadgets used in that, you may like the weird but luxurious looking Reaction Bookcase. The Reaction Bookcase has been designed by Olivier Peyricot and you can sit in it while surrounded by books. The idea itself is brilliant but is quite expensive at $3,000.
If you spend that kind of money on books, you can in fact buy a lot of books. The shelf and the lounger measure 6 feet in diameter and there is enough room to sit and also store books. The piece of furniture reminds me of a great design that I happened to see at a local furniture exhibition. The design involved a rotating pod where you could read books. Only, during rotation you might have felt guilty.
Nevertheless, innovative designs like these might encourage people to read books more and more. The availability is not known but I think you could contact the manufacturers and see if the pieces are available. I am sure you will love this retro science fiction book shelf in which you can sit.
