Exalead is a site that increases useful functionalities in the searches for images. Different from the search of images in Google, iy offers tools that allows anyone to choose from the size of the images, if colored or black and white, pictures or graphs, to the position if vertical or horizontal and even search for wallpapers. As well as in Google, it is also possible to just select face pictures. To present relevant images, Exalead classifies them with base in models of human behavior.
One of the most interesting things in this site is the pre-visualization of the results found through thumbnails. Can we have that same result with the google, using extensions of Firefox, but when functionality is is found in the site without needing of the user’s efforts, is it much better, isn’t?
When you make a research, in the result pages at the right side there is a menu which is exhibited with options for the refinement of the research. Exhibiting, for instance, the category related to the term sought by you and in which language should belong the exhibited sites.
Even the homepage can be personalized. You can, for instance, to define shortcuts for the sites that you enter, ideal for in case you want to define the tool as your initial page. Those shortcuts are also exhibited with previews of the related site and they can be organized, by clicking and/or dragging.
