Vstone and ATR have unveiled a cool new bot which is being touted as a futuristic humanoid that can help the desktop user and just about anybody by helping them in various things and running errands. The Robovie-PC is a combination of the previous versions of RoboCup Soccer robots (VisiON 4G) with their standard Robovie-X platform.

It comes with an embedded Intel Atom Z530 1.6 GHz. With the help of accelerators, gyro sensors, CMOS camera of 1.3 MP, USB ports for mouse and keyboard, wireless LAN card, and an easy way to connect to Internet, the robot can do a lot more things than can be imagined now.

One of the more interesting tasks of the bot is to fetch you your hourly can of beer on demand to your desktop. AT $4440 USD, the robot is one of the most expensive available in the market today. There would be other options such as gripper modifications, colour choices, and joint extensions. It is one helluva robot that you can’t easily ignore!
