A Sustainable Transportation System for London Garden

Marten Wallgren, a student of Royal College of Art, has designed the London Garden. The system is a unique eco system which incorporates buses, taxis and scooters and would make London Garden a car free zone. Bus stops would collect energy and store that precious energy while the bicycles add to the city’s green transportation methods.

Bicycles can be used in a foldable and communal way while the bus stops have tree like structures where the bikes are stored. The bike racks also generate and store energy using wind, water and sun. This, when the wind blows, the tree like structure makes energy, and when the water flows it again generates energy and when the sun shines, it converts solar energy into electrical energy.

The bikes can be carried in taxis and buses and thus, people do not have to rely upon cars a lot. Marten has already got an internship with Toyota and seems to be going places. I would love to get this system installed in every big city of the world.
