To help that immense pool of dancing talent along the way were a few real neat tricks hidden away from the teary eyes of millions of MJ followers screaming Michael at the top of their voice. One such cool patented accessory were the forward leaning shoes that were specially crafted to enable Jackson and his dancing staff to lean forward at an angle of 45 degree; a move that defied both logic and gravity.

The Smooth Criminal move, which you can see in the video above, was due to the specially designed shoes that allowed the guys to change the center of gravity without much suspicion. Of course, the guy on the right in this video had a slight problem in disengaging his loafer after the move and hence got his footing stuck.
