The BPD sufferer holds the world responsible for their loneliness and insecurity and the child or adolescent is perpetually angry and fares badly at studies. At the core of BPD is the existential angst. A child or adult with this disorder would be unable to distinguish between what is real and what is not, and the cause behind all the negative baggage is the existential angst.
When a child questions why he or she ‘is’, the child wouldn’t get an answer. This lack of answer leads to an emptiness within and causes him or her to go through existential angst. An important feeling for a borderline child is the ‘I hate you, ‘Don’t Leave me’ which is also a book by Jerold J. Kreisman.
If a child or an adult feels lonely or not cared for during childhood, chances are that he or she develops into a borderline personality disorder sufferer during adolescence. This disorder stems from poor familial relationships, abusive parents and even sexual abuse. If not these terrible conditions, being ignored when children can also cause BPD. Never ignore or trouble your child or your dependant!
