Acer Replaces Touchpad With Touch Screen in Aspire Ethos Notebook

One of the foremost names in computer hardware, Acer has announced that, it has now replaced the touch pad of the Aspire Ethos notebooks with a secondary touch screen, that would greatly help the users in the navigation through their multi media content. The all new touch screen will be able the display icons for the multimedia content such as, movies or music and will enable users to control volume and sift through images on the Ethos notebooks.

The evolution of the touch pads, also called, track pads has in the recent times seen an enormous leap as more and more companies are expanding their efforts to convert the conventional touch pads into more multi media intensive inputs. For one, Synaptics, a leading name in track pad technologies had recently released an update to its track pads, even for the old machines, that would enable the users with multi tasking features. Even Intel for that matter, has suggested the evolution of track pads in a way that, these devices could be replaced with a touch screen that would help in social networking applications.

The all new Aspire Ethos notebooks are known to be powered by Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and these laptops are also provided with an Advanced Micro Devices ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 series graphics card. The Ethos 8943G sports an an 18.4-inch screen and the 5943G comes with a 15.6-inch screen. Furthermore, the Ethos series come with a 1.28 TB of hard disk space, courtesy of twin 640GB hard drives.
