Most people without training dislike the parellel parking system motly because they wouldn’t know how to. Ford seems to understand this issue and has unveiled the Active Park Assist System along with its awesome Lincoln MKT and MKS lines. It comes with the advanced Electric Power Assisted Steering and will allow the driver to let the vehicle be in an optimal position while attempting parallel parking.

The Active Park Assist comes with sensors that are situated at the rear and front of the car and will guide the driver to par in a proper way. The EPAS not only helps the driver to park properly but also has the ability to reduce he greenhouse effect as it reduces CO2 emissions and reduces fuel consumption by 5%.

However, the Active Park Assist wouldn’t be available till 2012 for that is when Ford plans to launch it. Looks like we shall no more have to worry about parallel parking and we can easily park it the way we choose to thanks to all the great technology. Ford has once again proved that it takes not only great technology but also innovative spirit to launch new products and services.
