The project manager for Adobe Flash, Mike Chambers, said on his blog that the company will not invest more in flash applications for the iPhone and now focus its efforts on Android.

However, the website of the San Francisco Gate, Chambers said the company will continue offering the package Creative Suite 5 for programmers who are interested in developing applications for the device.

The decision came after Apple changed the license agreement prohibiting developers creating applications for their multi-platform devices. According to Chambers, as of now, Adobe will not invest more in technology supported by Apple.

Also according to the San Francisco Gate, the project manager at Adobe says the fact that Apple disapprove the establishment of multi-platform tools can damage the construction of a series of applications based on Titanium, MonoTouch and Flash CS5, but he believes the company is preparing something to reverse this situation.

For Chamblers Apple is not interested in supporting technologies that enable applications to be easily built for multiple platforms and that the agreement had not been amended the iPhone would be easily compatible to several apps already created on the basis that the company is avoiding.

Analysts and observers believe that the ban Apple’s help the company maintain an edge over rival smartphone platforms encouraging developers to develop specifically for the iPhone.
