The leading advertising optimizer company, Teracent has been acquired by Google Inc. in a move that clearly states Google’s intention to become the dominator in the field of online display advertising and create a revolution as it had done with its search engine couple of years ago.

The acquisition deal between Google and Teracent is expected to be realized by the end of this quarter, however, there hasn’t been any update on the amount of money exchanged between the two companies. Google had recently bought AdMob for $750 million.

Teracent has been a leading advertising optimizer firm operating from the Silicon Valley and provides its clients with its trademark Intelligent Display Advertising technology that provides the advertisers with demographic and statistical data on the pattern of their advertisements. The algorithms developed by Teracent helps the advertisers by selecting the most creative parts of an ad campaign keeping in context the essential factors of a website, such as geographic location, language, the content of the website etc. and then displays the advertisements in real time.

Now that Google has acquired Teracent, the search giant will now be employing the patented Teracent algorithms top its display advertising clients, who currently run advertising campaigns in the Google Content Network and will also cover the clients using DoubleClick.

According to Google,

“This technology can help advertisers get better results from their display ad campaigns. In turn, this enables publishers to make more money from their ad space and delivers web users better ads and more ad-funded web content.”
