With the immense success of Google;s mapping service, called Google Maps, that has proven its worth time and time again and has found its way into the mobile devices as well is now all set to receive an all new feature called, ‘Store View’, in which Google could be adding the interiors of selected retail stores to the Google Maps database.

The unconfirmed reports of the new Store View in Google Maps came from a retail store owner of Oh Nuts from New York, stating that, the photography crew of Google came into his store and took snapshots of the entire store, in every direction, with a precise spacing of 6 feet.

Apparently, the Store View of Google Maps will enable users to take a look inside the stores featured on Google’s list, kind of of like the Street View mode, wherein the image of an entire locality are displayed on Google Maps.

Taking a good look at the new possible feature in Google Maps the Store View will be beneficial for both, the users as well as the store owners, because with this feature, the users will be able to locate specific items of their choice and make themselves aware of the new catalog of the store and as for the store owners, its kind of a free publicity on a much larger scale than they could ever perceive.
