A scarf, a stole. A helmet. Or sometimes simply a hand-kerchief. Yet, nothing seems to work when it comes to breathing polluted air in cities across the world, causing millions to suffer air-borne diseases. As for air-filters that you fit on your nose while driving or while walking in such choked areas, hardly anyone felt happy using them.

Skin irritation, rashes, or even ineffective filtering. Plus, they do not allow users to speak through. They could well be some complaints by users of air-filter products that people tend to pick off market shelves and medical stores. French designer Phil Perez and counterpart from Germany Jens Roeper have however brought out an ideal product for city travelers, so that they can breathe easy and talk with other people.

Airbub, as they name the design, is an open air equipment that helps one breathe naturally, and also communicate with others while breathing clean air, irrespective of how polluted the air around is. It looks more like a brawny headset whose one end is a little under your nose, and another fits over your scalp, running down along your back. It causes slight inconvenience, but is novel in design and worth using if you want to escape pollution.
