iraqi ministry of justice in ruins Al Qaedas Umbrella Group Responsible For Baghdad Carnage

A little known terrorist outfit calling itself the Islamic State of Iraq has taken responsibility for the devastating twin suicide bomb attacks in Baghdad, that claimed the lives of 155 people. This new terror group is now believed to be under the umbrella of Al Qaeda. The Islamic State of Iraq released a statement on a website, taking the responsibility for the attack and further stated, that their martyrs had struck the heart of the infidels. Infidels is a word commonly used by the terror organizations to address the United States, the western countries and those who are their allies.

The suicide bombing was carried out on Sunday and targeted two key government offices of the Iraqi administration. The Justice Ministry and the Baghdad Provincial Administration suffered extensive damage from the explosions, along with the loss of life. The bombing is being seen as terrorists’ way of mocking the Iraqi government and has shredded the false sense of security, even with the withdrawal of the U.S troops.

According to a health official,

“Among the dead were two dozen children, killed on a bus that was leaving a daycare center near the Justice Ministry at the time of the explosions.”

Even with firm and reassuring statements released by the Prime Minister and the President himself, there is still widespread discontentment and rage among the people regarding the carnage that happened on Sunday. It is fast becoming a wide belief in the citizens that, the government is absolutely incapable of protecting and defending the people of Iraq all on its own.

According to the militant statement, that has been released on the internet,

“One of these selected targets that were hit this time was the ‘Ministry of Injustice and Oppression,’ the so-called Ministry of Justice, along with the Baghdad Provincial Council. We struck the pillars of the Safawi and rejectionist state in the land of caliphate.”
