One doesn’t have to dig online to know of the perils of drunk driving. If you yourself have been put behind the bars for one night just because you had one tequila sunrise after work, you would realize that Government and cops really have their hands on this public issue. People argue that sometimes a drink or two doesn’t hurt for it still keeps them sober enough to drive safely. But that area is still largely subjective so you can’t hold against them for enforcing strict norms.
Well finally there is something that will help people to shun alcohol if they want to drive on the streets. An Alcohol Detecting Ignition Lock in cars is something that is being worked upon by combined efforts of the US government and private players. The special type of ignition lock will automatically detect the alcohol level of the person seated with the steering wheel on hand. Folks working on this are not yet sure how this feat would be achieved but they are hinting n using light beam to test presence of alcohol in the body tissue.
Well, I think this concept sprang out of the fact that people are still able to evade the penalty net of drunk driving with money and corruption. But when your car doesn’t start, there is nothing that your loaded wallet will be able to do. If this device really kicks in, we can probably cancel out drunk driving as a public nuisance.
