The Motorola VE465, which we could only managed to steal a surreptitious glance of the leaked images a few months ago recently appeared on Motorola’s Official Website but any details about the phone or its launch date. However, we spotted the much elusive VE465 on Alltel’s Website. The phone is one of Moto’s new semi rugged entry level clamshells. Looks like the phone will hit the market soon but the pricing details are not yet available.
According to Mobile Syrup, an inside source from Motorola Canada, the phone is likely to soon land on Telus, which is the second largest CDMA carrier. Telus will apparently name the phone “Motorola Active Edition”. The phone comes with copious features such as, stereo Bluetooth, music player, video player, MMS, SMS, Instant Messaging, E-mail, 1.3MP camera, USB 2.0, microSD card support up to 4GB.
It also has a 1.9 inch TFT internal display with 176 x 220 pixels and 65k colors, 1.05 inch CSTN external display with 96 x 80 pixels. The talk time can last up to 4.5 hours and the standby time up to 12 days. This sounds very decent and I must buy one when it hits the market.
