Amazon Kindle Display Screen Assures Increased Capacity To Meet The Surge In Demand

Well, the world of e-reading and specifically, e-readers has now officially become one of the most competitive grounds in the technology market as Amazon has announced that, the entire stock for the $189 Kindle has been sold out and the company is waiting for more shipments of the product. After dropping the price of the Kindle from $259 to $189, the consumers jumped at the lower prices being offered and have grabbed every last of the Kindle available. However, the display screen manufacturer for Kindle, E Ink Holdings has stated that, the company is well prepared to increase its output capacity to meet the increasingly rising demands for the e-reader.

Now, all eyes have turned towards another entity, Foxconn, a company that manufactures Kindle, Apple iPhone 4G and Apple iPad. The world’s largest electronics contract manufacturer will now be expected to speed up the delivery of the Kindle and the company itself would have to find a delicate balance for meeting its commitments towards both Amazon and Apple Inc. The shortage of Kindle might create some sore spots for Amazon, if it wishes to compete with one of the world’s most favorite tablet device, Apple iPad. After the launch of the iPad in the month of May, Apple had announced that, 1 million devices were sold in the very first month and an whopping 1.5 million e-books downloads were registered at the company’s newly launched iBookStore.
