Logitech, one of the biggest manufactures of electronics and computer peripherals has announced the launch of the all new Universal Remote, named, Logitech Harmony 900. its technology is based primarily on the platform of Logitech Harmony Universal Remote Series, but the the new remote stands apart on the basis of the RF or Radio Frequency technology that Logitech has embedded in the all new 900 universal remote series.
The most astounding aspect of radio frequency signals is that, unlike infra red signals, the RF signals are not obstructed or interfered by walls, door and other physical obstructions. The RF technology based Logitech Harmony 900 is able to accomplish all the given tasks of a universal remote, even if your home entertainment system is kept behind closed doors of a television cabinet.
The entire design of the Logitech Harmony 900 universal remote is based on the highly successful Logitech Harmony series, except a few changes i.e. the all new 900 series universal remote control comes with a much more enhanced high-resolution display, along with an incredibly user-friendly interface. As most televisions these days come equipped with a teletext services, Logitech has taken a step further to introduce four programmable keys to enable smooth operations for STB/DVR/teletext controls.
The range of the Radio Frequency receiver on the Logitech Harmony 900 universal remote is astounding, as the remote can operate multiple remotely controlled devices from anywhere in the house. Unlike conventional RF devices, where a IR or infra-red emitters are required to be placed at specific places, the new Logitech 900, eliminates the need of such emitters and can communicate with the devices, regardless of the obstructions.
