Archaeologists have revealed that they have found a missing link between the Wari people and the earlier Moche civilizations which flourished before the 12 century. The site is located neat the coastal city of Chiclayo in Peru. In fact the archaeologists have discovered an entire city and shockingly, human sacrificial evidences have been found.

Apparently, the remains of the sacrificial victims were thrown over a cliff. Cesar Soriano has revealed that human sacrifices were very common in South America prior to the advent of Europeans in the 15th centuries. What is not clear is the reason behind these sacrifices.

The Moche, who dies out in the 6th century AD had left no proofs and the discovery of this ancient but intact city would reveal the missing link. This also happens to be the first such site discovered that is related to the Wari culture.

Archaeologists even found pieces of clothing, ceramics and the remains of a young woman which was surprisingly well preserved and intact. These discoveries may lead to a better understanding about human civilizations and also some of the darker sides to the humanity, which includes cannibalism and human sacrifices.
