United States managed to create a very complicated situation which, if not resolved in an appropriate manner, can lead to a new conflict in the Middle East. Eight Syrians civilians, five of the same family, were killed in an attack on a building under construction, this Sunday in the Syrian town of Abu Kamal, the country’s border with Iraq. Through the official news agency Sana, the government of Syria informed that condemns “this aggression” and consider “the American forces responsible for this act and its repercussions.”

Syria also asked that “the Iraqi government assumes its responsibilities and start an immediate investigation into this serious breach to prevent Iraq being used for aggression against Syria.”

For now, neither Iraq nor the United States officially expressed itself on the attack, however, a U.S. Army official said anonymously to Associated Press that the attack aimed to weaken the rebels who support Al Qaeda.

Soon after this war began, the border of Iraq has been identified by the United States as “problematic” because rebels and members of Al Qaeda allegedly could enter Iraq without major difficulties. On the other hand, Syria criticized the United States, accusing the Americans of not supplying equipment to the Syrians can control more effectively into its borders.

And you know what is most sad about it? While the three governments (Iraqi, American and Syrian) are accusing each other, innocent people may have been killed in that action alleged American and more may die if not resolve this situation diplomatically.

Its a sad reality that innocent civilians always end up as victims in such cross-fires and attacks…hope they do resolve the matter diplomatically…

It is too early for us to expect them make a diplomatic call on this issue. Until few more bodies give away their last breath, its going to be the same. Sad but true!
