Apple Inc. Releases Patch For iPhone Irregularities

Even though Apple iPhone is indeed the apple of the eye for all those who own it, and its a dream for those who want, still, the iPhone has always been marred by some problem or the other. Be it MMS, SMS, or the Copy-Paste feature, Apple still hasn’t been able to come out with a version of the iPhone that would be bug or error free.

In a recent discovery, Apple confessed about a security vulnerability in its iPhone line that could severely harm the phone and its functionality. This security threat can be easily exploited by hackers, that would give them control over the phone and can easily install an unsigned software code with root access to the phone.

This threat specifically exploits the loopholes in the manner in which iPhone handles SMS or shot message service. However, the exact nature of the vulnerability hasn’t been disclosed yet. Due to this issue, the phone becomes extremely vulnerable to external attacks, wherein, malicious codes can be remotely sent to the device via SMS. Such codes can be used to illegally monitor the location of the device with the help of GPS among other unethical activities.

Apple has been working hard to create a patch to resolve this concern and is expected to release the patch by the end of this month. Even with the emergence of this threat, experts believe that iPhone is still the safest phone available in the market. Because the iPhone does not support Adobe Flash and Java, it becomes really hard for hackers ti gain entry in to the phone’s core system programming. Also, as a precaution against threats, iPhone also incorporates hardware protection the data stored in the phone’s memory. On top of it, the iPhone only runs softwares that are digitally signed by Apple.
