Apple Inc. is in the planning phase to launch a tablet PC near the holidays season in the Unite States of America. The proposed tablet PC is expected to sport a 9-inch to 10-inch touchscreen and might also be available with a keyboard, unlike other tablet PCs that usually are available in touchscreens, without keyboard support. Apple is expected to sell their own tablet PCs at a cost of around $700 and $800 per piece.
As of now, Apple Inc. is in talks with one of United States’ biggest wireless carriers, Verizon, to establish a tie-up for the launch of the tablet PC. However, according to experts, Apple might not be able to strike the corporate camaraderie as it has been to establish with AT&T for the sale of Apple 3G and iPhone 3GS.
However, many believe that the current expected price range of Apple’s tablet PC might not compel many consumers, as there already are numerous devices just the like Apple’s tablet PC from Hewlett-Packard and Toshiba, that cost a lot less than the one Apple is trying to sell into the market.
