Well, its official now! ABC network has finally released an update to its iPad streaming application, that would now enable users to stream ABC network shows on their iPads via 3G services. As per a source close to the matter, ABC’s iPad application will now support 3G streaming and is available for download. ABC had recently updated this application and had submitted to Apple Inc. for approval, that now has been officially inducted into the Apple Apps Store.
Since the launch of the Apple iPad and ABC’s announcement of the release of an all new application for the iPad, users have been continuously using this application, so much so that the ABC app has now become the sixth most popular free application in the iPad app store. However, since the launch of the iPad 3G, users stated that, the ABC app was only wifi supporting and there wasn’t any streaming available on 3G services. One reason for the unavailability of streaming on the 3G services could have been the business and technical considerations, that ABC had to observe, due to which it could only make the feature available on wifi.
Even though it seems that, ABC could have been bound by these technicalities when it launched the app for iPad wifi, yet now the network has clearly moved over the hurdles and has finally given the users what they had been seeking for the last one month.

I tested out the revised ABC Player app last night. The 3G streaming looked great. The other networks have a high bar to shoot for.
