The glory of Blu-ray has finally made its way to Apple iPhone and iPod Touch with the announcement of Blu-ray features by Universal Studios especially made for these Apple products. The all new Blu-ray features will be introduced with the release of the Hollywood blockbuster, ‘Fast & Furious, that is expected to be launched in a special Blu-ray package on July 28th 2009.

With the help of wi-fi networks, wherever available, users equipped with iPhone and iPod Touch devices will now be able to access certain astounding Blu-ray features. As far as Fast & Furious is concerned, such users will be able to control the vehicles in the garage section of the application, also known as ‘Virtual Car Garage‘. One of the most prominent blu-ray feature is the ability to control a full 360 degree view of the car and then apply modifications, as per users’ likings.

Among other facilities, Universal Studios has stated that, the blu-ray projects in the pipeline will further enable users to download content directly to their mobile devices. Besides these interactive features, users will also be provided with detailed information about the movie cast and with nifty social networking widget, that would instantly update their profile status on Facebook and Twitter, that is if the users wish to do so.
