Since the introduction of a camera in the iPhone 3GS, rumors and speculations have doing the rounds, that Apple might also be planning to give a facelift to its line of iPod Touch and iPod Nano by incorporating the same kind of high definition camera as used in the iPhone 3GS.

According to various inside sources in the mobile device industry, Apple Inc is planning to provide the same high definition camera technology to its neat line of iPods. These camera modules are said to be quite inexpensive with each camera module costing the company a mere $10.

As per several reports from Macrumors, the latest line of casings for iPod Touch and iPod Nano suggest that, the upcoming models night indeed sports a classy and a highly functional camera for its users. This in turn will ensure much higher sales for the Apple devices.

Currently, the price of an iPod Touch is $229. If and when Apple introduced the camera into this device, operating or activating would be absolutely no hassle, because the software is already available on the iPod Touch, all that is missing is the hardware.
