God works in mysterious ways and finds new ways of proving its existence to the works, as it has done in Nazareth, Israel, where archaeologists have discovered a home that according to experts, belong to biblical times, the time around when Jesus Christ was just a boy. The city of Nazareth is known to be a Jewish dwelling that was composed of about 50 families and is also considered to be the childhood home of Jesus.

Nazareth, which is also the capital and the largest city of Northern District of Israel is currently occupied by 65,000 citizens and the place where the excavation is currently under process is the site for the Basilica of the Annunciation. The city is largely dominated by Muslim community and as the excavation clearly shows the difference in civilization in the times of Jesus and now, amounting to 2,000 years.

As per one of the archaeologists, Yardena Alexandre who is also the director of the Israel Antiquities Authority, the newly unearthed house shows that, the dwelling for made specifically for a conventional Jewish family. The excavation also provides evidence of defensive strategies used by the Jews of Nazareth, who created camouflaged grottos to save themselves from the invading Roman armies.

According to Yardena Alexandre,

“This may well have been a place that Jesus and his contemporaries were familiar with. A young Jesus may have played around the house with his cousins and friends. It’s a logical suggestion.”
