Argentina suffers because of the swine flu

The Argentine government declared this Friday a holiday for health national administration, which partly affects the private sector in an attempt to halt the advance of swine flu. According to the latest assessment of the WHO (World Health Organization), the disease affected 2,485 people in the country, and causing 60 deaths.

The opponents of this government decided not to join the national proposal. The officials worked normally, but some banks and private financial remained closed to most trade in the city.

The Minister of Health, Juan Manzur, emphasized that the virus showed a setback in the capital, suburbs and more populated districts, despite registering more contacts within the country.

The Argentine government figures indicate that 82 deaths in the country by the virus of the disease, officially known as influenza A (H1N1).
This Thursday, some Argentine cities restricted or suspended by the 193th anniversary celebrations of the independence of the country.

Argentine provinces opted to stop all celebrations, such as military parades and the typical religious celebrations of this date and forbidden the participation of school children in open events.

In other places, all types of celebration were canceled in an attempt to halt the advance of the pandemic, which however did not prevent the normal operation of public transport and airports.
