Want a whiff of the Oriental? Head to the elaborate fare at LuckyRice Asian Food Festival, at New York in April last week.
Grand tastings, cocktail parties and other foodie delight events form part of the festival, which also will have a night market and a Sunset Luau. The LuckyRice festival will go on from April 29 to May 2, which will eventually benefit City Harvest and the Asian American Federation.

The festival is being presented through a tie up with LuckyRice Culinary Council and Conde Nast Traveller, Time Out New York and Edible Manhattan. Following the festival will be the LuckyRice Restaurant and Bar Week, which will offer prix-fixe lunches and dinners at participating restaurants.
Ticket prices that went on sale on Wednesday, vary from event to event. Some of the events are a must do. On cards on April 30, is Buddhist cuisine that features Eric Riper and David Chang in conversation with noted Buddist authority Robert Thurman. That’s a dashing combination of Buddhism and culinary cravings!
LuckyRice is a media and marketing firm furthering the Asian culinary culture. The LuckyRice Culinary Council includes top names such as Daniel Boulud, Anthony Bourdain, David Chang, Michael `Bao’ Huynh, Masaharu Morimoto, Eric Ripert and Marcus Samuelsson.
