This ad campaign comes from advertising agency Graffiti, Bucharest (Romania). This ad campaign’s innovation is that it promotes Aspirin brand intelligently without showing typical cold symptoms of cough, cold, red noses and faces with pain written all over. Dinosaurs in the print ads symbolize extinction due to cold. Pun and wit makes it interesting. Finally dinosaurs as pets makes it all the more comical. Almost every other pharmaceutical company produces over the counter easily available cold/influenza formula tablets, so it is difficult business to promote particular brand. Also influenza, cold is one illness for which there is no permanent cure. Everyone reaches for tablets for pain relief during cold phase. Hence it all depends on publicity through catchy, trendy ads. Wit is always trendy.
