The Eee PC models by ASUS found great popularity amongst consumers and though it has been sometime since news about the last model died down, more is hitting the grapevine yet again.
The newest model by ASUSTeK computer according to rumours is a 11.6” model which would become a part of their Eec PC series and may be out later this month. Apparently, ASUS CEO Jerry Shen has already revealed these plans and added that the new ultra-portable series would also models of 13.3”, 14”, and 15.6”. If you these are ultra-portable, you should give a moment to check out their 10” model, which would probably be touted as their uber-portable model. Shen revealed that the 10” notebooks would be the major shipment (50%) of their total for 2009 while the rest of the ultra-portable models would only be seeing 30%.
The new models are already making a lot of news but ASUS doesn’t think it has had enough. ASUS is also releasing CULV based 15.6” ultrathin laptops, XS15, which would cost you about $600 to $700.
