AT&T has been trying to dominate the online contracts for sometime now, and in efforts to further advance its ambitions, it has now blocked 4chan.org’s some of the most popular message boards. 4Chan is a different kind of social networking website that enables users to share, messages and post comments on message boards, kind of like a forum.
AT&T has blocked numerous message boards of 4chan.org, that include /r9k/ and the infamous /b/. moot. The latter message board is was belongs to the owner cum administrator of 4chan.org.
According to the official 4Chan Blog, “It’s come to our attention that AT&T is filtering/blocking img.4chan.org (/b/ & /r9k/) for many of their customers. There is no remedy at this time. If you’ve been affected, I would advise you call or write customer support and corporate immediately.”
As of now, there has been no official comment from AT&T and numerous blogs and forums are already covering this move and there seems to be an outrage amongst users, for AT&T’s move. 4Chan is well known to have a great amount of influence on internet trends and many big names in the online industry, such as Rick Roll and LOLcats.
