Napa valley Vintners, a nonprofit organization is hosting the 30th anniversary of Auction Napa Valley June 3-6. Set in the most idyllic destinations, this event is marked by festivities large and small, multitude of corks and barrels pulled by the vintners themselves and taste of artisan foods. Established in 1981, Auction Napa Valley and was to generate the much needed funds for healthcare non-profits in Napa County. Presently ANV is ‘undisputedly the granddaddy charity’ of the wine auctions in America. It has already given $90 million since its inception. Its generosity has made this the must attend wine charity event in the US. Not only is this four day event most successful charity wine auction but is loads of fun too.

Gala 2010 begins on Thursday evening which affords you an insider’s look into the cellar and the lives of some of the world’s most renowned names in the wine industry followed with casual intimate dinners and ends on Sunday with a “Farewell Fete.” More than 100 wineries will be pouring wines at Rubicon Estate on Friday. You can just take a stroll and meander through the foods and the wines at your own leisure. The local restaurateurs and artisan food products will showcase their specialties and you will also have a chance to taste and bid on wines from the barrel in the rousing Barrel Auction inside the winery’s caves.

Saturday being the main event, is looked forward by everyone to begin with canapés and wine on lawn. It will be held on the fairways at Meadow Napa Valley Resort in St. Helena. Bidding starts after lunch which is prepared by a consortium of eleven highly acclaimed gentleman chefs. The winners will go home with trips to Pebble Beach with unlimited golf and club access and lunches, dinners, limos, wines tours and yacht use for four days. Additionally Yankees tickets, and four nights for two couples in Los Cabos will also be included. The highest bid estimated for one of these luxury trips is one million dollars! Star women chefs will present the gala dinner after the grand auction followed by dancing al fresco to the music of the all-girls-band.

Napa valley, although a small region, is accredited with roughly 400 member wineries and 600 volunteers. Anyone around the world can bid for the total 150 E-auction online, 100 Barrel Auction and 41 Live Auction lots featuring luxury travel and wine collections. The tickets for four day full package are $2,500 per person and three day packages are $1,000 per person. So gear yourself for a weekend to remember!
