Audi, the German automakers will launch their highly versatile and advanced prototype e-bike at Worthersee in Austria where street bike stunts and skills will be demonstrated by downhill specialists Petra Bernhard and trial biker Julien Dupont. The sport motorcycle features carbon fiber reinforced polymer’s compact frame with 26 inch wheels and has great agility due to low centre of gravity. Audi ultra blade with flat spokes optimizes pedal power. It also features electric motor of 2.3kW and lithium-ion battery of 530Wh. The battery can be recharged within three hours to its full capacity.
The battery could be exchanged for charged one for long rides. The futuristic bicycle attracts many observers, outdoor lovers and urban riders in annual Wörthersee Tour. The e-bike has less weight including drive components, electric motor and a battery. It uses LED lighting to conserve battery life in the front and rear ends during nights. Onboard computer allows the rider to activate software and also increases cycling experience. One more appealing feature is successful tricks will be recorded by the camera of phone.
Different modes can be set using a smartphone. You could choose training mode for training purposes, balanced wheelie for challenges and power wheelie mode for less skilled bikers.
Audi E-bike is still a concept prototype which may cost approximately $15,000.
