Car aficionados would never forget a great car, no matter how many years have passed, and would consider it a mortal insult not to be able to recognise the revival of a cool car. The 1985 Audi Quattro in that sense is a hard car to forget.

The Audi Quattro has a horsepower of 160, curb weight of 3,115 pounds and could go 0 to 60 miles in 8.3 seconds flat. Fourtitude checked out how the 1985 beauty would fare next to a younger babe, a 2009 S5. Of course, the car of the generation fared much better than the Audi Quattro but even so the car had a lot to offer in the evolution of Audi cars over the past few decades. When it first came into being, the Audi Quattro cost thousands of dollars more than a Porsche and it would be impossible to see how the S5 compares with the Quattro for another couple decades.

From how far the Audi Quattro has come, it would probably still remain a favourite for many years more. Perhaps, if the $57,000 S5 were compared with the Audi Quattro some decades later the Quattro would still emerge the winner.
