The education industry in the Australia is worth Aus $ 15 billion. With the recession, the enrollment of foreign students in the Australian institutions and universities has gone down considerably. This campaign which is to encourage students for further enrollment is worth Aus $ 3.5 million. 

Australian government has launched a multi million dollar campaign targeting the Indian students mainly. After all Indians form the second highest population of international students in Australia after the Chinese. There are approximately 95,000 students from India in Australian colleges and universities. The government has also targeted the Chinese, Malaysian, Thai and Indonesian students. The campaign is to ensure that there is a continuous flow of students who come to Australia for higher studies and research.  Trained counselors are to provide special educational advices to students hailing from these countries in particular. 

The trend of slow enrollments was quickly noticed by the Australian government. A quicker step was taken to deal with the situation, after all the Australian has every reason to worry. The education sector is the third largest export industry after coal and iron ore in Australia.
