The Israeli occupation of the West Bank seems to be supported not by political aims but by a religious and holy promise that was delivered to the Jews by the Bible. This apparently justifies the continuous occupation of the west bank rendering thousands of Palestinians homeless.

Major Adrian Agassi, who immigrated to Israel long time ago, is known to be at the forefront of encouraging illegal occupation of the West Bank, not because it is necessary for the State of Israel, but because it has been promised by none other than god.

In fact, he prefers calling Israel, State of Jews than by the name Israel, though technically that is what it is. Such attitudes towards occupation of the West Bank will only flare up situations and the entire region would be caught in a downward spiral, never to return to a state of peace.

Thus, once again it is proven that religion seems to be the driving force behind any kind of dispute, wherever in the world the dispute might be. Adrian Agassi’s judgements were considered extremely biased by his critics and once even the military prosecution appealed against his ruling to Israel’s high court.

During 1992 and 1995, more than 100,000 Muslims, Bosnian Muslims died in the bloody Yugoslavian Wars. Many of them, in fact thousands of them were massacred systematically by Serbian forces in places like Srebrenica, Tuzla and elsewhere and bodies are still being dug up from mass graves.

The courtroom number one of the Yugoslav war crimes tribunal, The Hague expected to see Radovan Karadzic, one of the masterminds of the massacres that took the lives of several thousands.

However, he boycotted the tribunal and refused to appear before the court. Thousands of Bosnian victims and their families deserve justice, which can never be given by any court of law. Nevertheless, trying criminals like Radovan offers solace to the victims’ families.

The scene of Bosnian Muslims wailing and crying at the news of adjournment was heart rending indeed, most of whose loved ones are still buried somewhere in the mountainous terrain of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Karadzic faces 11 charges of war crimes, genocides and other crimes against humanity and it is rather surprising that he could easily get away by “boycotting the court”. The War Crime Court has probably lost its fangs.

If you ever flew by a flight that you liked so much, would you go ahead to any extent in order to recreate it? Well, here is a guy called Anthony Toth who has recreated the vintage Pan Am first class cabin right in his garage. He once travelled by the flight to Thailand and fell in love the service so much that he got obsessed with the idea of recreating the Pan Am right from the scratch.

As a child his parents took him frequently to Europe on board pan Am and that is perhaps why it has left a lasting impression on his mind. He had saved cardboard linings, multiple rolls of recordings (I did not know they allowed recording on board planes!) and of course the audio selection on board.

The project took him 20 years and cost him $50,000 and that really is something for an obsession, isn’t it? He had to visit Death Valley several times to salvage Pan Am carcasses where flights are usually discarded after their lifetime is over. Anthony even offers his garage for conferences and if he ever invites you, you can be sure of getting yourself boarding passes of Pan Am as well. He is helluva crazy to do all this!

If you thought building a replica of Eiffel tower or the London Bridge using the 3D was a great achievement, think about this. A guy has gone ahead and replicated the whole of the city of Marseille including the iconic structures found in it! Marseilles is the largest port of France and the second largest metropolitan area in the French nation.

David Laisner has used the old style 3D rendering in order to create a replica of the city and he has already received rave reviews for his project. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, some sort of 3D rendering and animation engine(s), a pencil, a stamp, iPod touch, video editing software and some other techniques are what he used to create this awesome 3D replica of Marseilles.

It would be awesome if all these parts of Marseille are assembled to create the 3D representation of the entire city and that would really be damn impressive. However, I doubt the whole city was replicated bit by bit. Rather, he must have replicated only the important parts of the city like landmarks, monuments and important visibly recognizable parts.

I really like this gadget though one may need some time to understand all its features. It is one of those gadgets that are technically advanced enough to leave you breathless and feeling like you are out of touch with technology. Nevertheless, you could get the GlideTV Navigator for $150 and it would be a great investment as well. With its sleek looks, it is a sure winner.

The world’s smallest train set has just been unveiled and it measures just 1/8th of an inch by 1/4 of an inch. The model has been designed by David Smith, a New Jersey model train enthusiast. It was built using just a craft knife and a rock steady hand which has resulted in the most amazing train model in the world.

The train is part of the fictitious village he is going to create called James River Branch. Since it is a model train village inside a model, the smallest train model is being touted as a postmodern sculpture that exudes artistic relevance. Though it is the smallest train set, it cost Mr. Smith just £6 and he spent more than 2 and half years to build it.

It certainly is an awesome model which deserves a second look and it shows how we have all been dominated by the presence of trains no matter how miniscule it may sound. Trains are gradually losing their importance but they still can generate the headlines around the world, and that is perhaps what makes this model train so relevant. Moreover, it would encourage people to travel by train often.

India is a nation that is almost a mystery for outsiders. This mystery is the result of mystification of poverty, illiteracy, superstitions, and extremely gory practices like casteism, widow burning and dowry. The country also faces the great threat of Naxals and Maoists insurgency.

Apart from these real dangers, the India nation is also plagued by opinionated “intellectuals” who seem to know what is best for the nation and everything else around them, and such advices usually drop from their mouths at the drop of a hat. One such person seems to be Ms. Arundhati Roy.

In a recent interview with Karan Thapar (A Cynical view of Democracy), she advocates giving up all military action against insurgents and pave way for anarchy. It is not clear if she just needs limelight or is financially being “supported” to make such dangerous statements.

Whatever the case might be, it is the best interest of the nation that the mainstream and online media ignore and downplay such dangerous comments and opinions which might lead to not just anarchy but also large scale violence, kidnappings, bombings and killing of innocent civilians in the name of war against the Indian government and democratic system. Will the Indian government realize its follies and take necessary decisive military actions against such treacherous insurgents?

Mayor Newsom of San Francisco signed the America’s first law dictating the residents of the city to compost their garbage compulsorily. The residents will now have to discard compostable materials in a green can and the recyclable materials in a blue can.

This way, by 2020 the landfill waste is expected to become nil by 2020. This is great news for not just San Franciscans but everyone else as it could encourage other mayors to bring this method of composting as well. It would lead to better management of waste and also compost so that it could be used as manure for plants.

There would be a cap of $100 for homes and business which produce less than one cubic yard of trash. It would be interesting to observe the developments and see if it works out well. If it does, there is no holding back and it would be really cool to get all over biodegradable material wastes composted and used in other ways. Thankfully, even the residents of San Francisco are very excited about the initiative.

Now, this breed is a worried lot, the reason being the availability of many devices which negate the need for these people’s existence. There have been many new laser enabled devices that either remove hair or encourage hair growth, both being vital requirements for people all over the world.

In fact, devices such as Silk’n Hair, HairMax LaserComb, and other remove/grow hair when users learn to use them on their own bodies. The results have been pretty encouraging too, apparently with the FDA giving the green signal to these devices. There also have been DIY Botox treatments which could be injected by people at home by themselves.

This completely negates the need for the existence of dermatologists and others of that breed. While skin and hair car is a multibillion dollar industry, the DIY laser products could grow to be an even larger industry. FDA and the users are not complaining. However, the professionals are. We can certainly understand why.
