Bangalore is now known as the second best performing office location in Asia. Surely, this doesn’t come as a surprise to the real estate agents, with 18 per cent growth rate in office rentals, as reported by the Cushman and Wakefield, a global property consultant.

Bangalore, popularly known as the Silicon Valley of India is just after Kuala Lumpur with 58 per cent growth in rentals, followed by Kolkata in the third place. Hyderabad and Pune bagged the 7 th rank in Asia. The Asian survey was conducted in 13 countries and 27 key locations.

The office rentals have witnessed a steady growth in Bangalore. Not at all a surprise for the IT capital of the country. However, National Capital Region, Chennai and Mumbai slipped into negative growth. On a global scale, office rents rose approximately 3 per cent in 2008 much lower to than in 2007.

However, the real estate agents in Bangalore city are already laughing all the way to their banks. With its second best performing office location, it is bound to attract more employers to the city.
