Belgrade is one of the most ancient cities of the world. It was granted city status even before Christ was born. The city has seen a number of wars and battles, but the city has always rebuilt itself and has been a survivor for thousands of years. the city sits strategically on the banks of River Danube and is at the crossroads of the West and the East.

When the NATO bombed Belgrade in 1999, the city was almost flattened. The city has fought against the imperialistic nature of Western powers recently and also Turkish conquests in the past. The city is home to almost 2 million people and is right now in a state of peace and calm that may only get better.

With this, the city may finally get a breather and be able to showcase its unique culture and swanky nightclubs. In fact, the city is known to be the friendliest in the Balkans and most people from Bosnia, Croatia and other neighboring countries prefer Belgrade parties to their own, due to the perceived friendly atmosphere and lack of language difficulties.
