Meant at an ubercool and technically inclined target consumer audience, Coffer uses biometric security system to help safeguard valuable in a very futuristic way.
The system utilizes biometric fingerprint authorization just like in sci-fi movies for access. On top if that, it also permits USB key compatibility which is just a backup option in case the scanner goes out. Weighing only 10.4 lbs, it seems to defeat the purpose of providing robbery-proof storage which was the key security point in the extremely heavy safes used traditionally.
