New advances are being made in Safe technology. Well, we did hear of the SAFE-T bed by Hollandia and now the Biomirage Coffer has a very interesting concept to offer. Meant at an ubercool and technically inclined target consumer audience, Coffer uses biometric security system to help safeguard valuable in a very futuristic way.
The system utilizes biometric fingerprint authorization just like in sci-fi movies for access. On top if that, it also permits USB key compatibility which is just a backup option in case the scanner goes out. Weighing only 10.4 lbs, it seems to defeat the purpose of providing robbery-proof storage which was the key security point in the extremely heavy safes used traditionally.
Hmmm, a cool next generation replacement for your traditional safe if you are looking at an ultra-modern decor but we do think it’s a tad too impractical plus let’s not the forget the price tage of $580. So we advise think twice before indulging in this little personal storage box extranvagance.
