
Black Friday is when all Americans set out to shop for Christmas and this usually falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving. This time around, it is on the 27th of November. Black Friday encourages people to shop till they drop and it is a great time for retailers and merchants to advertise and market new products, offers and discounts.
This time around, the advertising has been concentrated on areas such as gadgets and technological products. Walmart, Sears and Best Buy are all vying for the biggest share of the Black Friday pie but since the Best Buy ads are more creative and attractive, they seem to be having a definitive edge over the rest of the retailers.
I would have so loved to shop on this day but it is always a pain to find parking space but that should not be a problem as most shops even open at midnight instead of in the morning, and they remain open throughout the day almost for 24 hours. With this being the case, advertisements mean a lot to retailers in driving traffic to online websites and also to their retail shops. Advertisements during Black Friday make all the difference to both consumers and retailers!
