OLED technology is sure taking over from the now-traditional LED lighting at a fast pace as the latest in energy-saving lighting is offering designers to expand their creative horizon and work on new canvases and designs. The latest fine addition to this lineup is the Black & White Clock from designer Vadim Kibardin. Using simple OLED technology clubbed with some light detecting sensors and four independent power sources, Vadim has conjured up a simple and minimalistic clock that exudes beauty and charm. Changing its own shades from dark to light depending on the degree of illumination in the room, the B &W goes from dark black to bright white as the sun starts setting.

The make of this OLED clock is nothing beyond 4 OLED digits, but the fact that such a simple design fits so well in any environment, indoor or outdoor, is what makes the Black & White so alluring. While Vadim is still on the look out for manufacturers who will take this from the CG and prototype stage to the production platform, we will be watching out for the first Black and White Clock when it does hit the market!
