Bloodless Military Coup Planned by Islamist Fundamentalists In Pakistan

The radical Islamist militant group, Hizb ut-Tahrir was formed by Imtiaz Malik in the early years of 1990, in Pakistan. Mr. Malik is a British born Pakistani, who is believed to have connections with the organization even now and is suspected of being the leader of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Pakistan.

Hizb ut-Tahri is banned in Pakistan and goes by the name of Liberation party in the United Kingdom. Its sole purpose is to establish the hardline Sharia law all over the globe with its base in Pakistan. Even being a militant organization, still, it has called for a ‘bloodless coup’, a method of toppling the existent government without the loss of any life or any casualties.

According to Maajid Nawaz, one of the ranking member of Hizb ut-Tahri,

“Pakistan was neglected and ignored until it had a nuclear bomb and then the global leaders realised it would be a good strategic base for the caliphate.”

In a statement, Maajid Nawa stated that, as of now, about 10 activists of the militant group have been working in the major cities of Pakistan. According to him,

“The traffic has been increasing ever since and people are always going back and forth (to the UK).”

Pakistan government has been on an intense crackdown mission on this existing threat for the last couple of years. In the year 2003, four officials of the Pakistani army were arrested, on the basis of their association with the Hizb ut-Tahri.
