Making £ 8000 pounds may seem tad difficult for even grown ups at times, but a 11-year old who sold all of his McDonalds memoriabilia that he had meticulously collected, has done that and earned his father’s pat.
His collection of memorabilia was auctioned by Unique Auctions and his dad said the response was great. Because Luke Underwood, the boy in question, had a dozen or two, but 7,000 promotional items – something believed to be the largest of its kind in Britain. All the same, the auction attracted bidders from across the globe – Germany, America and Japan too.
Luke Underwood’s collection would have required 10,000 Happy Meals from McDonald’s and includes 101 Dalmations in their original bags, besides hundreds of Happy Meal boxes, toys and posters.

The sale happened at Unique Auctions in Lincoln. Apparently, the collection was sold in 300 lots for over £ 8,000. Luke who did feel a bit down as his collection was sold away, however looked forward to his next big purchase. He sure has impressed his dad, who thinks the boy would make for a shrewd businessman, recalling how the boy sold a £ 20 push-bike that he had, for £100.
