British tourists in the Greek island of Crete have been arrested for dressing up as nuns. A group of tourists were taken to the court as they misrepresented the costume of the Christian nuns.
17 British tourists came to Crete dresses as nuns, and carried crosses and displayed their thong clad bottoms to the public. The court, however, ruled these tourists innocent. Luckily enough for these British, there was no witness available to testify against them. The British Embassy was prompt in their actions and asserted that the consular assistance would be provided to these tourists.
Apart from the mockery made to the religious robes of the nuns, this act was also seen as misbehavior of the tourists in Greece. British tourists are said to misbehave in the last couple of years and it has brought to the notice of the Greek authorities.
However, these 17 Brits surely did manage to offend the Greeks either by way of misrepresentation of uniform or by lifting their skirts to display their thongs. Mockery of the Christian faith but it a hilarious way!!
