There have already been many companies, which have come forward to create such bunkers to help people protect themselves, especially those living in the outback. Some of the features available in a Bushbunker are water drums, UHF radio and Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRBs). It comes with a strong shell that is made of 300mm steel and would be air tight in order to protect the insides from flames.

With good communication facilities and first aid kits, the Bushbunker may save many lives. It is expected to cost between AUD$16,000 to 20,000. This is designed for schools and businesses.
