A few months ago, when an old Brit man decided to sell his ancestral home, he hit upon a creative idea which brought him instant success. He put up a sign advertising the sale of a teddy bear for 50,000 pounds which would also give the buyer a free house!

Property developer Duncan Jones attempted a similar stunt but this is unfortunately not working for him. The six bedroom three story Tall Pines house in Georgian style was put up for sale along with the promise that the buyer would also receive Duncan’s Ferrari F430 worth £100,000. Duncan has already reduced the original price of the house by 300,000 pounds from a million, but he has been unable to find any interested buyers. Prospective buyers are hesitant to take the house because of the recession, Duncan blames.

Duncan has now decided to turn the house into a block of offices and also to shift his 15 member staff to the house and offer to rent them rooms. It was a good attempt, trying to throw in a Ferrari F340 but I suppose it just doesn’t equate to a cute teddy bear.
